Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia Cashwool
One of the most iconic merino yarns of the Biella district, a benchmark for high-end cone yarns.
Cone yarn in pure extrafine combed merino (worsted), designed for fine knitwear by machine and by hand. As a single strand it is a lace weight; it is often knitted with 2-4 strands held together to move up a weight category while keeping its hand and brilliance. Smooth and even: it works well for ribs, fine stocking stitch and fair isle bases.

Plausibility — a guard, never a gauge
These numbers say what is plausible for this yarn. Your swatch, washed and measured, is the only truth the chart is built on.

Substitution
Can be replaced with an extrafine merino of the same resultant count and the same spinning (worsted). ALWAYS knit a new swatch: hand and shrinkage change.
another merino/worsted wool at a resultant Nm of ~24 (lace/fingering category), same number of strands
